Wishing Everyone A Merry Christmas!

Victoria May 2003 Had this wonderful bedroom! As you all know I am in the process of redecorating my home and finding beautiful pictures on the Internet for inspiration. I found this room and fell in love with it! I just love the calmness of the color white. Isn't the window treatments gorgeous?
I just love cherubs, as I am sure you all know by the name of my blog. I have some wonderful art in my house of vintage cherubs, after the holidays I will post them to share with everyone. I have been collecting vintage cherubs for years. Are there any other bloggers that love cherubs and angels? I'm sure there are. If anyone has pictures they would like to share I would love to see them.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I cannot wait for Christmas its my favorite holiday! What is your favorite holiday? I'm getting ready to have a give away just waiting to get a few more followers on my blog. I will probably have one for New Years so if you would like a chance to win please post a comment and sign up as a follower. With it being my first give away I am going to make it something really nice. I have really enjoyed meeting so many nice people, you are all wonderful. Thank you so much for all the nice comments. I have so much enjoyed looking at every ones Christmas decorations, there are so many talented people out there, thank you so much for sharing!

Lorene, thanks for dropping by...glad you found my blog and am happy I found yours too.
I am happy to join your blog.
YES indeed I love Cherubs and most of all...ANGELS...and Angel WINGS...really LOVE their wings !!
However, did you know that in the Bible it never says Angles have WINGS..nor are they female...who knew ??
But I will spend the rest of my days hoping that Angels do have wings..when I get to see the Angels. And even more so since my daughter Dawn is waiting in heaven for me.
I believe you will love your house in white...We sure do....have for years...I know it looks like "vanilla pudding" to most people...but we like it a lot.
You can add all the color you want...after that.

Hi Lorene!

Yes, I love cherubs A LOT and have quite a collection of them in various forms.

You may find this story amusing ...

Several years ago, I had a tiny little business selling refurbished antiques and vintage items in the cottage/shabby chic style consisting of furniture, textiles, art, etc., in an antique mall here in southern California, and my business was called ... wait for it ... The Gilded Cherub! I was even registered with the County to do business under that name. I closed the shop down when I was accepted to UCLA to finish my degree as I knew there was no way I could continue the shop because of the time school would take.

So when I decided to finally do a blog, get an e-mail address and open an Etsy shop, I thought I'd use my old business name and sort of "revive" what I'd been doing in the past. I wanted everything to "match" name-wise. I almost died when I signed up for Blogger yesterday (I'm just doing my first blog now myself this year, after being inspired by all the gorgeous home decor blogs out there) and found that "my" name had been taken already! LOL! What's the saying -- great minds think alike!

I've gone instead with the name The Sterling Cherub, and I think you and I can more or less consider ourselves twin souls as far as our love of cherubs, home decor, the romantic shabby chic style, etc. So I am now following your blog (which is GORGEOUS by the way, and your header is exactly along the lines of what I was considering using for The Gilded Cherub, so in my humble opinion, its perfect!) and hope that when I finally get mine really running, you will follow mine as well!

Best to you,

Kimberly
